Scott Campbell was born in Newfoundland, Canada and spent most of his childhood living in the small, rural communities that are scattered along the island's rugged coast. It was in one of these communities where a teacher introduced Scott to photography. Inspired by both the land and the people of the places in which he lived, Scott began using his camera to create fine art landscapes and portraits. When he was 16, he held his first exhibit. When he was 18, he sold his first collection of prints. Scott is inspired by the great Dutch Masters and like them, pursues technical excellence in his process as a means to further his artistic objectives. Scott lives in Calgary, AB and travels frequently to other parts of Canada and Europe.
